Backup
your BankReconciliation Data (brd) files
Uninstall your current version
Delete the directory
Install the current version from the
internet
Copy your data files back
Step 1. Backup your BankReconciliation Data
(brd) files
From the subdirectory c:\Program Files\BankReconciliationcom\Data\,
copy all of the .brd files to a directory (any user directory not under
the \Program Files). You should have one brd file for each of your bank
accounts.
Example:
Northwind Company has two bank accounts on the system:
--Main, and
--Depository
They copied the files:
c:\Program Files\BankReconciliationcom\Data\main.brd
c:\Program Files\BankReconciliationcom\Data\depository.brd
to a data folder located off the root directory (c:\data\).
Note: There
will be other files associated with the file name, ie. main.br1, main.br2,
main.br3. These are all automatic backups of your data (brd) file. You
do not need to copy these files.
Step 2.
Uninstall your current version
From the Control Panel's 'Add/Remove Programs' wizard, uninstall BankReconciliation.com.
Step 3. Delete the c:\Program Files\bankreconciliationcom
subdirectory
Start Windows Explorer. Click on the c:\Program Files\bankreconciliationcom
subdirectory and delete the folder to finalize the uninstallation (any
remaining files). .
Step 4.
Install the current version from the internet.
This version can be obtained at:
http://www.bankreconciliation.com/download.html
Download the file and run the InstallShield Wizard.
Note: The unlock code will be emailed to you automatically when you request
the download
Step 5. Copy the data files back
Copy the data files you backed up in Step #1, back to the c:\Program Files\bankreconciliationcom\Data
subdirectory.
Start the program and select from the Main Menu, 'File', 'New' then 'Add
an EXISTING file'. Repeat for each data file.
Enter your license codes into the program as appropriate.
