Frequently
Asked Questions (FAQ's)
We've moved our data files (.brd) to the server so that they can be shared
with a coworker. Do I need to perform an additional step?
Yes, they will need to be temporarily relocated to your workstation.
First confirm that the files are located on the server.
From the program's main menu, select 'File', then 'Maintenance'. Click
on the 'List of Accounts' tab. The file locations will be listed.
If any of
the files are located on a server:
--Open Windows Explorer and copy the 'brd' file(s) to your local workstation.
--From the 'List of Accounts' tab, point to the new file location on your
workstation.
--Perform a normal system upgrade.
--When you have finished your system upgrade enter into the account(s)
to finalize the settings.
--Copy the brd file(s) back their original location, and repoint using
the 'List of Accounts' tab.
Note: Bank
Reconciliation.com highly recommends keeping all data files on the local
workstations and NOT on a server.
